Computer Applications is a course designed to teach students how to use a computer as a business and personal tool through the use of applications software. Appropriate software for database management, word processing, graphics, and design will be used. Students will utilize applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Using these applications, students will participate in creative activities that not only assess their understanding but also provide skills and lessons that are applicable to real life. This course is designed with the intention of not only deepening student understanding of applications but also promoting their creativity and ability to apply instructional guidelines to create a finished product.
